Who We Are

Welkhenia is a New York State Certified Interior Designer with over 24 years of experience. Throughout those 24 years, she has had the opportunity to design spaces for the Latin American, Asian, and North American markets. Her work experience covers different practice areas ranging from high-end residential, hospitality, retail, workplace, education, and different venues on board over 15 major cruise ships. 

Her diverse background and experience is a unique stamp that makes every project special and one of a kind. Welkhenia approaches every project with an open mind and as an opportunity to collaborate with her clients and to deliver projects that are personal, unique, detail-oriented, invigorating, and functional.

A Brooklyn native, who spent most of her younger years in the Dominican Republic, Welkhenia graduated from Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and from Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic with an AAS in Interior Design, graduating Summa Cum Laude, Valedictorian and with an AAS in Fashion Design, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Welkhenia has been a life-long fine artist, painting, and sculpting since she was a little girl. Today, she divides her time between her passion for design, painting, teaching, and her family. It is this rich combination of a life filled with art, her fashion and interior design background, and her creativity that makes every project a uniquely crafted piece of art.
